My interest in eating healthier started with looking at a Macrobiotic diet and I decided to try it for a week and needed a good snack and so this was the perfect snack! I have adapted it to use easier and simpler ingredients, but these delicious bars are great in keeping you full and satisfied!

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 16 small bars

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 c Pumpkin Seeds, raw
  • 1 c Sunflower Seeds, raw
  • 1 c Silvered Almonds, raw
  • 1/2 c Sesame seeds, raw
  • 1/2 c Peanuts, raw
  • 1/2 c Cranberries
  • 1/3 c Agave Nectar
  • 2 Tbsp Tahini

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
  2. Evenly layout all your seeds and nuts on a baking pan. Bake for 8-12 minutes until golden.
  3. Remove seeds and nuts from pan and place in a mixing bowl with cranberries.
  4. In a microwave safe small bowl, microwave the agave until boiling.
  5. Add tahini into small bowl with agave and mix thoroughly.
  6. Pour sweetener mixture into large bowl of nuts, seeds, and cranberries and combine thoroughly.
  7. Pour bar mixture onto a cookie sheet, glass pan, wax pepper, or silicone baking mat and mold into a 1 inch tall rectangle.
  8. Let cool in the refrigerator for 10 minutes and then slice it up into bars.

Originally, I used Brown Rice Syrup, but I couldn’t find any in 3 different grocery stores that I normally will buy my groceries from; therefore, I decided to try and recreate the recipe using a more common sweetener that is easier to find. This is very simple, quick, and easy to make, so I hope you ENJOY this recipe!
